| August 6, 2021 1:00 AM

Dale Eugene Fisher, a resident of the Coeur d' Alene area, died after a short illness on July 30, 2021, surrounded by family. He was 44 at the time of his death.

He was born on February 11, 1977, to Isaac and Wilma Fisher in Coeur d' Alene, and grew up and attended school in Coeur d' Alene.

Dale found joy in being with his family and especially having fun with his kids. He knew how to make an ordinary day or event special and memorable with his unique sense of humor and love for laughter. Dale loved taking his kids to the park and going on the toys with them. He enjoyed taking his kids out for ice cream, as well. Dale enjoyed watching cartoons and silly movies with his kids.

Dale made the most of holidays. He was always excited to go trick or treating on Halloween with his kids and his younger siblings, even when those going were too old to be trick or treating. Dale enjoyed making Christmas magical for those around him, and surprising them with things he knew would make them happy, although he was terrible at keeping those surprises a secret and sometimes those presents were given early.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and the great outdoors with his older brothers and his dad as he was growing up. He liked huckleberry picking with family and camping in North Idaho forests, and enjoyed watching wild animals such as deer and moose.

Dale followed in his big brothers footsteps and played baseball as a youth on a local team.

Family outings as a youngster included swimming at lakes in the area. Particular favorites included Honeysuckle Beach and the Coeur d' Alene beach.

As an adult he enjoyed watching Seattle Mariners games. His favorite sport was football and he was a big fan of the Seattle Seahawks.

Silverwood played a big part in Dale's life as he worked there as a teenager and enjoyed visiting as well. This has continued to be a family favorite of going on the rides, especially Thunder Canyon, and eating elephant ears.

Dale enjoyed tagging along with his older brothers and going to see the car racing at the Stateline Speedway. He was also able to relive these childhood memories as an adult and visit the races with a few siblings.

Dale was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed the sense of community and spirit he found through the church.

Dale has spent his lifetime seeing a need from another and doing his best to fill that need. His biggest joy came from being with his family and bringing laughter. His family will miss him greatly, but are glad for an eternal perspective and believing we will be able to see Dale again.
