RECALL: Grow up, critics

A recall effort to recall a county commissioner just because he decided he doesn’t go along with the local Republican Party? How childish! I want a person who is not swayed by anything other than what the job requires and from what I have read so far in The Press he is doing that.

Party affiliation is fine for state and federal offices, but a local position such as his doesn’t require him to be a member of either party. He needs to be an independent and comprehensive thinker not pressured into making decisions that the local political party thinks he should be doing.

We don’t elect party hacks who only do the bidding of what they are told to do by their central committees, even though there might be some who do!
