KEC promotes Andrews to engineer

Kootenai Electric Cooperative (KEC) announces the promotion of Shaun Andrews to Electrical Engineer I. Andrews has worked for KEC as an intern intermittently since May 2019.

In his new role Andrews will provide technical support for long- and short-range engineering studies, construction work plans, sectionalizing studies, financial forecasting, system modeling, standards development, material and equipment evaluation, distribution/substation/transmission project design, SCADA system design and maintenance and system inspection and maintenance.

He graduated from the University of Idaho with his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis in power systems in 2020.

Dr. Chaffee receives prestigious award

Dr. Mike Chaffee of Riverstone Orthodontics was recently awarded the Yellen-Schoverling Award from the University of Texas Orthodontic Alumni Association for outstanding contributions to the art and science of orthodontics.

In addition to lecturing nationally and internationally and having several articles published, he is the immediate past president of the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists and the current president of the Northwest Component of the Edward H. Angle Society.

Dr. Chaffee has been an orthodontist in private practice in Coeur d’Alene since 1993, and is located at 2140 W. Riverstone Drive.
