Notable calls for the day!

04-16-21

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to a report of a welfare check. It was learned there was a female who was described as a vulnerable adult, and there was a report someone was taking advantage of her. A report was completed on the incident. 21-15535

• Several Deputies responded to a 3 vehicle non-injury crash on Pleasant view Rd X Highway 53. A semi, SUV and car were involved. A report was completed on the crash. 21-155665

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to JDC for a Warrant turn in. 21-15597

• A Deputy conducted a check of a subject near Expo Pkwy X Baugh Way. Upon contacting the male the Deputy learned he had a Warrant. The male was additionally arrested for poss of meth, poss of para, and felon in possession of a firearm. 21-15611/21-15617

• Deputies responded to the area of E. Coeur d'Alene Lake Dr. X E. Wilma Rd. ref. a Malicious Injury. It was reported a male subject was cutting through the cable that is parallel to the Centennial Trail.

• Deputies responded to a reported Domestic Dispute. On scene it was learned no Domestic actually occurred, the individuals on scene were mostly uncooperative, and the call was cleared with an 8. 21-15614

• A Deputy along with Tribal units responded to the CDA Casino ref. a Trespassing (male and female refusing to leave). Tribal PD arrived on scene prior to us and advised we could cancel. 21-15624

• Multiple Deputies responded to Razzle's for a reported Weapon's Offense/Fight. It was reported a Fight broke out and an unknown male brandished a weapon at several patrons. On scene Deputies learned the male had a .357 Magnum open carrying on his hip in the bar. The bartender asked the male to leave and he refused and became angry. Once he attempted to strike the bartender, the bartender's husband and several other patrons were able to detain the male. The male was placed in custody via Citizen Arrest for Assault. Prior to being booked at PSB. 21-15642

• Deputies responded to a reported Suicide Threat. A male had recently gone through a break up and was suicidal. On scene the Deputies spoke to the male and ultimately transported him to KH on an Involuntary Hold. 21-15650

• A Back County Deputy responded to the area of MM3 on FSR 1552 for a stuck motorist in the snow. The call came in via On-Star as the individuals there had no cell phone reception at all. 21-15668

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy took a cold battery report from 8100 N. Cornerstone Dr. (Holiday gas station). A male and female are divorced and the male is ordered to pay alimony. During their meeting, they got into an argument and the male began insulting female’s autistic son. The female grabbed the male by the shirt. As the male and his new girlfriend went to back out of their parking spot, the side view mirror grazed the female’s arm. The female was uninjured and did not want to pursue charges. The male could not be contacted for an interview. 21-15657

• Deputies responded to Nashville North for a fight. Staff advised they had an intoxicated, unruly patron on the dance floor who initially refused to leave when asked and was threatening them. Upon arrival, the male was walking west way from the bar. The bouncers advised the male refused to leave when asked and told them he was not leaving and asked what they were going to do about it. Ultimately, staff was able to get the male’s friend to convince him to leave. As the male was leaving, he told the bouncers he was coming back and was going to shoot them. The male was contacted and was uncooperative with Deputies. He was arrested for obstructing. 21-15665

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Baugh Way and Integrity Way. He made contact with the driver, who exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. The driver failed SFSTs and provided breath samples of .135/.128. He was arrested for DUI. A small amount of cocaine was located under the driver's seat during the vehicle inventory. He was also arrested for PCS. 21-15677

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to a crash on FSR 206 at the 3.4 mile marker. The crashed vehicle had been reported stolen out of Bonner County and once on scene, it was determined the vehicle had been there for a while. The vehicle was recovered. 21-15696

• Deputies responded to a non-injury crash at the intersection of Hayden Ave X Huetter Rd. The at fault driver improperly assumed it was a four-way stop and pulled out in front of oncoming traffic. The at fault driver was cited for failing to yield. 21-15722

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded a Psychological Issue. The RP reported her sister suffers from Schizophrenia and was walking down the road and then eventually ended up on the neighbor's porch only wearing her bra and underwear. The R/P agreed to take her sister home. Approximately an hour later, we received another call reference the sister. This time she was on another neighbor's property w/o permission. Due to a medical issue that was affecting her mental stability she was taken on an Involuntary Hold to KH. While placing her in custody, she kicked a Deputy and pulled their hair. She was charged via complaint for Batt. On L.E.

• A Deputy responded to a Found Property report at ISP. A Trooper was given a firearm by a Citizen near Hwy 54 X Perimeter Rd. 21-15758

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 5th X Pleasantview. Deputies arrived on scene as cover. They ended up arresting the driver for DUI. 21-15789

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy contacted a disabled vehicle at Seltice Way and Herborn Pl. When contact was made with the driver, the odor of marijuana emanated from within the vehicle. A search revealed paraphernalia. The driver was cited and released for the offense. 21-15807

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Seltice Way and Baugh Way. The driver exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. He failed SFSTs and provided breath samples of .095/.096. He was arrested for DUI. 21-15816

• Deputies responded to the casino for disorderly subjects. Casino security advised there was a large group of juveniles in a motorhome, consuming alcohol and may have stolen a scooter belonging to the casino. Upon arrival, security advised they did not make contact with the group because there was 10-15 of them and they were unsure if they were armed because they were "rednecks". Contact was made with the group of 5, who were all adults. The scooter was parked next to the motorhome and returned to the casino. No crime. 21-15817

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to a possible suicide threat. Prior to our arrival, the caller indicated her mom was able to get the subject, her father to the crisis center. Central called the crisis center and they confirmed he had arrived.

• Deputies responded to a located stolen trailer. It was an enclosed trailer that was locked. The trailer was transported to KCSO so a search warrant could be completed in order to search for more stolen items.

• Deputies responded to Corbin Park for a possible suicide threat. A male made statements to his ex-girlfriend that he was going to hang himself in Corbin Park. PFPD discovered the male’s vehicle parked at Corby's Bar in their city. Deputies spoke to the male who said he was C4 and not going to harm himself.

• A Deputy assisted Bonner County with a recovered stolen tractor located in Athol.

• Deputies responded to the area of N. Galena Dr. for a single vehicle roll over crash. Initial information was that the driver was unhurt but possibly intoxicated. The driver was charged for DUI .234/.231.

Evening shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to Lancaster and Hayden Lake Road for an injury crash. On scene they located a male standing outside his crashed Corvette that was now on its top. The male stated the brakes seized up after he repaired them the week before, as he was navigating the turn causing him to lose control and leave the roadway. He was uninjured. 21-15882

• Deputies responded to Hayden Super One after employees called to report a suspicious female inside the bathroom with drug items strewn about. On scene they contacted a female and during their investigation they located methamphetamine and heroin in her possession. She was arrested for possession of meth, heroin, and paraphernalia. 21-15916

• The windstorm came through and Central was inundated with 911 calls regarding down trees and power lines. There were a few brush fires that were reported, but all were put out. A power pole on Lancaster between Atlas and Huetter was knocked loose and leaning, causing it to pull the attached poles. Avista was called but due to their order load, they were unable to immediately respond. Lakes Highway District responded and shut down that section of the road until Avista could respond to fix the issue.

• A Deputy responded to Swan Lake after it was reported by a third party that an occupied boat was stranded on the lake, and stuck on a sand bar. On scene he was able to locate the boat and occupants, but was unable to get to them. Recreation Safety Deputies were called to assist with marine assets. They were able to get the occupants out of the boat and to safety. No injuries were reported, but they complained of being cold and thirsty. They refused medical attention. 21-15879

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to the Coeur d'Alene Casino for an unwanted person/ trespassing call. Upon their arrival, they contacted a female who was reportedly "causing a scene." At the request of a casino employee she was trespassed and left the property.

• A Deputy responded to a reported welfare check. The R/P was reporting that her roommate of 1 month was speaking to people who were not there and making her uncomfortable. Deputies determined no crimes had been committed and provided the R/P with information on the eviction process.

• A Deputy located a possible DUI aired by ISP near Highway 95 and Highway 54. The Deputy initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle yielded in the parking lot of the Crossroads Conoco. The Deputy determined the driver was not under the influence, but he was issued several citations for equipment violations.

• A Deputy initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of West Prairie Avenue and North Mineral Drive for failure to maintain his lane of travel and expired registration. The Deputy learned the driver had an active warrant for possession of paraphernalia out of Kootenai County. The Deputy placed the male into custody and performed an inventory of the vehicle. While completing the inventory he located paraphernalia and methamphetamine. The male was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine and issued a citation for paraphernalia.

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to an assault/battery report. An adult, non-verbal special needs son of the reporting party had "attacked" his mother and possibly broke her arm. The mobile response region one crisis team was contacted and responded to the scene to assist with the incident. A report was completed.

Evening shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to a threat of suicide. On scene they contacted a female who stated she wished to commit suicide by cutting her wrists. She showed the Deputy a knife that she began to attempt to cut her wrists with, as well as abrasions on her wrist where the attempts were made. The female was placed into protective custody and transported to KH. 21-16038

• Deputies responded to a psychological complaint. The R/P called to report her 14 year old daughter was out of control and banging her head on walls. The daughter was eventually calmed down and went to KH with her mother per her therapist's recommendation. 21-16024

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to a residential burglary in progress. The R/P reported she observed a male attempting to break into her home. Upon arrival deputies cleared her back yard and residence and did not locate any evidence supporting what the R/P had described. Upon speaking with neighbors, Deputies learned the R/P was suffering from some mental health issues and had a history of this behavior. 21-16083

• Deputies responded to a welfare check. The R/P reported his girlfriend had left his residence extremely intoxicated and he thought she was in an alcohol induced coma. The R/P became uncooperative with 911. Deputies contacted the R/P who himself was extremely intoxicated and hallucinating. It was later determined the girlfriend was never at his residence. 21-16084

• Deputies responded to 11787 W. Burlington Road for a trespassing/unwanted. BNSF reported a male in the Rail Yard on a locomotive. Deputies responded to the area and were unable to locate the suspect. 21-16082

• Deputies responded to a psychological. A male called into 911 claiming he needed a helicopter due to “being on a cliff and the ground below him was crumbling”. He also claimed that all the hospitals in Spokane blew over to Post Falls. The then claimed he was the keeper of Space and Time and needed to get to his spaceship. Deputies made contact with the male and determined that he met the elements for a protective custody hold. He transported him to KH. 21-16079

• A Deputy responded to Cave Bay (Worley) for a welfare check of a boat in the lake. The R/P reported a boat flashing its lights and appearing to be in distress. The Deputy responded to the area and was unable to locate. 21-16074
