North 40 Outfitters announces new store location

North 40 Outfitters, headquartered in Great Falls, Mont., has broken ground on a third location in the Spokane area at the corner of Deer Heights Road and U.S. Highway 2 — just north of the Spokane International Airport.

At just over 90,000 square feet, North 40 Outfitters' newest location will bring new and established product offerings to the West Plains communities, along with added elements of convenience and services like propane fills, custom chain saw and tire chains, scope mounting, bore sighting, bow tuning and more. Contactless curbside pickup will also be available through their website at north40.com.

"Although farm and ranch has always been the cornerstone of North 40 Outfitters, this new store means it will be able to provide even more to the Eastern Washington agricultural and outdoor communities," a press release said.

Full lines of feed, tack, animal health, fencing, hardware, tools, plumbing, electrical and automotive will be available for the farmer, rancher or homeowner. Seasonal lawn and garden and power equipment will add to the mix, along with full lines of men's and women's work and outdoor clothing and footwear.

A full-service archery shop, complete with a 20-yard indoor range, will highlight a sporting goods department that focuses on hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor activities.

Young Construction Group of Coeur d’Alene will act as the general contractor with architect services provided by H2A Architects, also of Coeur d’Alene. The steel building will be constructed utilizing Garco Building Systems materials, a manufacturer in Airway Heights. Construction is anticipated to take 12-18 months, with a tentative opening in late 2021. This timeline is subject to change.

North 40 Outfitters is a family owned and operated business headquartered in Great Falls. The company has been in business since 1997, and has maintained a focus on product lines that serve the Farm, Ranch, and now Outdoor needs of the three state area where the store locations reside. North 40 Outfitters currently employs about 850 people, and looks to add 60 to 80 people with this new addition to the Spokane market.
