COEUR d’ALENE — A woman is facing felony charges after police said she beat her boyfriend bloody.

Racheal N. Plotner, 35, of Coeur d’Alene, is charged with two counts of domestic battery, both felonies. A warrant for Plotner’s arrest was issued Oct. 15. She was arrested on Saturday.

Police responded Sept. 28 to a report that Plotner had injured a man she was living with.

The man told police that he and Plotner had been dating and living together, but Plotner had moved out that morning. Her whereabouts were unknown, according to court documents.

The man said he was looking through Plotner’s bag to make sure she hadn’t taken anything that did not belong to her when she hit him in the face. His lip was visibly swollen, police said.

He also told police about an incident in June when the couple argued because he wanted to break up. The man said he locked himself in the bedroom, but Plotner kicked the door open. She then allegedly punched him in the face repeatedly.

The man said Plotner yelled at him for bleeding from his nose and punched him again.

He took photos of his injuries, which he provided to police, according to court documents.

A judge ordered that Plotner be held on $10,000 bail and issued a no-contact order between Plotner and the man.
