TRUMP: The death of decency

| October 28, 2020 1:00 AM

I’m sickened that our president lacks honesty, respect, honor, compassion, decency and most of all, integrity. I’m scared of how Trump has bastardized the Office of President and, with the precedent set, how future presidents (of either party) will further bastardize it.

I’m embarrassed that the “leader of the free world” is now a worldwide punchline and we’ve lost the respect of even our closest allies. I’m saddened that, as president, he has never once spoken about bringing America together, always driving U.S. apart.

I’m ashamed that my fellow Americans cheered when he made fun of a disabled man and joined in with his insults and hate. I’m shocked by the devoutly religious who adore him as he spits in the face of so many basic principles they hold dear.

I question the honest and decent people of the GOP why they let their party be led by such a despicable individual. And I wonder if I can trust people who’ve seemingly forsaken the value and honor of Truth.

On top of lacking any admirable personal attributes whatsoever, Donald Trump is the world’s greatest and most documented liar. That is not an opinion or fake news, it’s fact. His fibs, false claims, exaggerations and outright lies are in the thousands and the count continues to climb.

This is the first time I’ve ever voted for a Democratic Presidential candidate. Like many Americans, I didn’t vote for Biden. I voted against Trump.
