RACISTS: No, call them patriots

At a city council meeting last Tuesday, councilwoman Christie Wood implied that our armed citizens that staved off a BLM riot in June were white supremacists and racists. She is just plain wrong.

Police around the nation have been mostly impotent when protecting cities from rioters. After witnessing the property damage in Spokane, there is little reason to think that it wouldn’t happen here.

So cheers to the fine citizens that protected our businesses. I know that many of you served in the armed forces and were veterans who care deeply about our town and country. Not only did you serve your community well, you also ensured a peaceful demonstration. Win! Win!
