MASKS: Time to fix the issues

| October 28, 2020 1:00 AM

The whole mask debate is tiring and depressing.

It’s hard enough right now with COVID-19, and the school system, and economic strain of maintaining a business or holding down a job.

Then who have a local health district and a city council who can’t even meet on the same page.

So many times in errands around town, my family is wearing masks, and then we see some people not wearing masks, sneezing and coughing into their hands, not drying their hands off in the bathroom, etc.

What are we truly worried about with this dying? Right now you have a better chance probably of getting hit by a car running a red light, on their cellphone, or eating breakfast while driving. It’s big two-word phrase a lot of people need to learn personal responsibility. We might not need a medical intervention to cure this, we need to reduce the paranoia, and maybe add another hospital since Coeur d’Alene is made up of at least 60 percent senior citizens or retired people.

Which only means the younger people have to try to fill the gaps just to get into the emergency room or a doctor. The waiting time will only get worse. The Ironwood corridor as we call it is only so big. Insurance only goes so far, if you have it.

Here’s another fix to this issue, vote the people out of office if you feel your voice isn’t heard.

Change might need to happen.
