Abbie voted — well, she tried

Voted yesterday and decided I would take our dog, Abbie. I received my ballot and Abbie got one as well.
After filling out our ballots we went over to the table at the Kootenai County Elections Office, where we turned them in. They took mine with no problem but spent some time looking over Abbie's ballot and decided they couldn't accept it. It appears the corners of her ballot were dog eared.
I hope everyone gets out and votes to support the candidates of their choice. By the way, the folks running the local election office did a great job of keeping the line moving. The line was long when I arrived but the total time from waiting in line until I walked out the door was only 25 minutes. Impressive.
Voters should be reminded that no clothing, outerwear or face-masks should be worn that indicate support for one candidate or another. Idaho state law.
