Retraction

Headlines concerning a February 24, 2020 post regarding Representative Vito Barbieri’s remarks to a legislative town hall in Coeur d’Alene on the subject of abortion were inaccurate and are retracted. At the town hall, Representative Barbieri stated: “I don’t know why, to quote someone down there, I don’t know why Planned Parenthood hasn’t been nuked off of State Street.” Prior headlines captioning the post that contains the quote inaccurately suggested that Representative Barbieri recommended such conduct. The Press regrets the error, extends its apology to Representative Barbieri and has recaptioned the subject post.
