NIC: These three for trustee

| October 23, 2020 1:00 AM

They say that all politics is local. I’m really seeing that now with this present election. I understand that we have several nonpartisan boards that have people running for them. I was always wondering why it didn’t say they were a Republican or Democrat in the voter pamphlet so it could help me make my decision. I just found out that they can’t say what party they are in.

I watched the recent interviews that the Coeur d’Alene Press did with the NIC candidates. I like what the young man Greg McKenzie said about people look to parties and party platforms to see whom they align with. (I’m paraphrasing). He’s correct. I want to vote for people who have a vision for North Idaho College similar to my vision.

After careful consideration and research, I’m voting for Greg McKenzie, Michael Barnes and Todd Banducci. All three of these gentlemen have conservative values. I think we need those values in North Idaho College.

I came across the Republican Party’s questionnaire of candidates. Some candidates didn’t have any responses. I am assuming that those candidates don’t align with conservative values. I like what these three individuals stand for, so I’m going to vote for them.
