PREP VOLLEYBALL: Timberlake outlasts Charter in five sets
COEUR d’ALENE — Brooke Jessen had 14 digs, 15 kills, four blocks and two aces for the third-seeded Timberlake Tigers in a 20-25, 25-19, 16-25, 25-14, 15-11 win over the second seed Coeur d’Alene Charter Panthers in a semifinal match in the 3A District 1 tournament at Holy Family Catholic School on Tuesday.
On Thursday at 6 p.m., Timberlake (6-9) travels to Kellogg (12-2) in the district championship match, while Bonners Ferry (4-9) faces Coeur d’Alene Charter (7-5) in a loser-out match at Holy Family Catholic School.
Kellogg swept visiting Bonners Ferry 25-21, 25-18, 25-18 in the other semifinal at Andrews Gymnasium.
Sami Wilfong had 30 assists and Jaycie Pratt had 10 digs, nine kills and two aces for Timberlake.
Quincy Rigg had 20 assists, Rylee Peterson four kills and 10 digs, Maddie Kociela nine kills, Taylor Peterson 18 digs and Raeana Kendra six kills for Coeur d’Alene Charter.

Genesis Prep
PLUMMER — Kria Peters had six kills, 24 assists and two aces for the Knights in a 25-15, 25-12, 25-11 win over the Jaguars in a 1A Division I District 1 semifinal at Ron Miller Court.
“The girls just played well,” Lakeside coach Brad Veile said. “They passed well, moved and were reading the ball really well. We’ve been working on those things in practice, and that really helped tonight.”
North Star Lawrence had four kills, Martina Rivera four kills, Arianna Havier-Gorr four kills, Tyshea Twoteeth three digs and two aces for Lakeside (4-6), which travels to Wallace in the district championship match on Thursday at 6 p.m.
No stats were available for Genesis Prep, which finishes 1-9.

Sandpoint (5-10) travels to Lakeland (9-6) on Thursday in the regional championship match starting at 6 p.m.
Moscow finishes 1-9.
