Food giveaway set today at Candlelight Christian Fellowship

COEUR d’ALENE — A food giveaway is scheduled today at Candlelight Christian Fellowship.

The church at 5725 N. Pioneer Drive will be distributing dairy, meat, fruits and vegetables starting at 10 a.m. and continuing throughout the day.

The USD-approved items came from farmers and ranchers in Eastern Washington and Western Idaho.

Demand for their products has been reduced by the economic impact of the coronavirus, so rather than throw the food staples away, they donated it to help others.

People are encouraged to swing by and receive their share as the church wants to be sure none of the food goes to waste.

“We want to get this all out,” said Eric Reade, who leads benevolence efforts at Candlelight Christian Fellowship.
