POLICE: Caught in kind act

We have so many negative things written about police that I wanted to recognize some of the good.
The Sheriff’s Blotter reported that officers were contacted to do a wellness check on a man who had not been seen in a few days. They entered the home and found that the man was deceased.
The neighbor making the call told them the man was a retired Marine Captain who had served in Korea and Vietnam. The responding deputies, other officers and the neighbor lined up and saluted the body as it was being transported.
Thank you for an example of pure caring and respect.
