Athlete of the Week: Abbey Neff, Lakeland High volleyball

The senior setter, in her third year as a starter and second as team captain, helped the Hawks win their second straight 4A Inland Empire League volleyball championship last week. "Abbey is one of the hardest-working players that I have coached and is the first one on the court and the last to leave," Lakeland coach Kelsie Badger said. "Abbey knows the strengths and weaknesses of every one of her teammates and is able to pull the team together in time of need. Abbey has a positive attitude and is always up for a challenge. I couldn't be more proud of her and her leadership this season."
