A Sandpoint man was killed when the car he was driving went off U.S. 95 and crashed Monday night.

The Idaho State Police said Joshua W. Paulson, 30, was southbound in a 2002 Saturn Vue about 8 p.m. when it drifted off the left side of the roadway at milepost 442 seven miles south of Athol and entered the median.

The vehicle rolled several times causing Paulson to be ejected, ISP said.

Paulson, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

An investigation continues.
