PREP CROSS COUNTRY: Wood, Post Falls girls triumph at Inland Empire Classic

LEWISTON — Post Falls junior Sammie Wood won the Inland Empire Classic at the Lewis-Clark cross country course in the Lewiston Orchards, finishing in 17 minutes, 49 seconds on Saturday morning.

Anna Peters was fourth, Kaley Bohl sixth and Alahna Lien eighth to lead the Trojan girls to the team title with 27 points. Elliana Rietze was fifth for Coeur d’Alene, which was runner-up with 64 points.

Nikolai Braedt of Sandpoint was runner-up in the boys race, finishing in 15:55 to lead the Bulldogs to the boys team title.
