ST. MARIES — Freshman Maddie Daigle recorded a hat trick for Coeur d’Alene Charter in a 6-0 Intermountain League win over the St. Maries Lumberjacks at City Park on Wednesday.
“I was pleased with our ball movement and runs off the ball,” Coeur d’Alene Charter coach Stacy Smith said. “Our entire bench received lots of positive minutes. Maddie was able to step into a goal scoring role as we worked through some injuries and a new formation. She had a great night.”
Coeur d’Alene Charter (9-1-1, 6-0 IML) is scheduled to travel to Lewiston on Monday.
St. Maries (1-3, 0-2) is scheduled to host Priest River on Tuesday.

SPIRIT LAKE — Hailey Cheney had 21 kills and five blocks for the Wildcats in a 25-20, 26-24, 25-19 win over the Tigers in an Intermountain League match.
Sami Wilfong had 15 assists and two aces, Brooke Jessen 13 digs and one block, Jaycie Pratt seven kills and two aces for Timberlake (2-6, 1-2 IML), which travels to Bonners Ferry tonight.
Piper Rainio had 23 digs and three aces and Gracelyn Nearing 37 assists for Kellogg (5-2, 3-0), which had its match at St. Maries postponed due to COVID-19.
The Wildcats are scheduled to host Bonners Ferry on Tuesday.
• POSTPONEMENTS
The Intermountain League boys soccer match between Coeur d’Alene Charter and St. Maries at City Park was postponed due to a positive case of COVID-19 within the St. Maries program.
As a result, Friday’s nonleague match between Immaculate Conception and St. Maries in St. Maries was also canceled.
According to the St. Maries football Facebook page, the program has shut down practices indefinitely due to contract tracing. A decision on Friday’s nonleague game between Bonners Ferry and host St. Maries had not been made by Wednesday evening according to Lumberjack coach Craig Tefft.
Tonight’s nonleague volleyball match between Kellogg and St. Maries at St. Maries, as well as a Scenic Idaho Conference match between Genesis Prep and Lakeside in Plummer were also postponed.
No makeup dates were set.
