Notable calls for the day!

11-24-2020

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy located a suspicious vehicle at the Maiden Rock Boat Launch. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Spokane. There were no suspects on scene and no evidence. The owner could not be reached. Vehicle towed, locate sent to Spokane.

• A Deputy arrested a male for his warrant at DMV.

There were several minor calls, alarms, medical assists, property crimes and Health and Welfare calls. Nothing further of note.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to a non-injury crash that occurred at Walmart in Hayden. A swap form was completed and the driver of the at fault vehicle was cited for failing to provide insurance. 20-50665

• Deputies responded to an injury crash at the intersection of Ramsey and Hayden Ave. One vehicle was traveling west on Hayden Ave. and failed to stop at the stop sign at Ramsey, and crashed into a truck which was traveling south on Ramsey. The air bags in both vehicles were deployed and there were minor injuries. Both vehicles were towed, and the driver who ran the stop sign was cited for failing to stop at the stop sign. 20-50670

• Deputies responded to the area of Circle Rd in Twin Lakes in reference to suspicious people being seen. According to the RP, three males were claiming to be from an LDS church and requesting to enter people’s homes. No one was located and there were no other callers.

• Deputies responded to the CDA Casino in regards to security finding drugs/paraphernalia on the gaming floor (yes again). Security was able to locate the male that dropped the drugs by using their surveillance cameras. Deputies contacted the male and he admitted to the paraphernalia being his. The male was taken into custody and more drugs were located on his person. The male was arrested for possession of heroin. 20-50685

• While at the CDA Casino it was discovered the male had also stolen a phone from another patron. Deputies investigated and learned that he had in fact stolen a phone belonging to a female while gambling. He admitted to taking the phone but told deputies he thought it was his friends. He was also charged with theft. 20-50703

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to E. Shiloh Loop for a domestic dispute/welfare check. The R/P stated his neighbor was “freaking out” in his apartment and screaming. Deputies arrived and contacted the neighbor who said he was frustrated with God for what’s going on in his life. He had a bad performance in bowling tonight and came home upset and started yelling and throwing items around his house. 20-50698

• Deputies responded to W. Echo Dr. for a domestic dispute. A male was intoxicated and used his hands to push his girlfriend in the neck. Deputies were unable to locate the male. Deputies completed a crime report charging the male with domestic battery. 20-50692

Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to N. Cliff House Rd. in Hauser for domestic dispute between a male and female. The male was gone on arrival of units but he allegedly slammed the female’s head into the freezer door and strangled her with his arm. Complaint request submitted. 20-50743

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle on Prairie Ave. west of Ramsey Rd. and arrested the driver for a grand theft (firearm) warrant. During an inventory of the vehicle, The Deputy located a firearm which he checked through Dispatch and learned it was stolen out of Post Falls. The driver was also charged with possession of stolen property. 20-50772

• A Deputy responded to E. Riley Loop for a welfare check on a female who was called in by the RP as she was standing in the RP's driveway crying. The Deputy transported the female to the Crisis Center. 20-50760

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Several Deputies responded to the area of N. Trails End Rd. for a report of a male with a knife threatening a female. While in route there was an update the male may also be in possession of a gun. Units staged in the area briefly until more units arrived, and then proceeded towards the residence. The male was located in the roadway walking towards Hwy 53. Deputies arrested male for Agg. Assault. 20-50804

• Deputies responded to N. Finucane reference a reported Sexual Assault. The victim reported a male at the location; touched her inappropriately. The male also had a warrant for FTA. He was arrested for his warrant, and charged for sexual battery. 20-50820/ 20-50823

• Deputies responded to E. Killdeer Ave. reference a suspicious circumstance. The RP advised he had been gone from his residence approximately 3 hours, and then returned home to find the front door open. An unknown suspect used a pry bar to break a lock on the window. After investigating, and from speaking with the V/RP, Deputies determined there was several thousand dollars’ worth of items stolen from the residence. 20-5081

• Deputies responded to Bitter Rd. in the Worley area reference a Welfare Check on a male. While in the area Deputies located a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. The vehicle was overloaded with occupants, and several of them began switching seats once they saw the Deputies. CDA Tribal PD responded and handled. 20-50856

• A Deputy handled a Property Damage Crash near the intersection of Seltice X Wellesley. Report taken. 20-50805

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to a suspicious person at W. Honeysuckle Ave. The reporting party advised a 16 year old female had come to her residence and asked to use her phone. She said the juvenile seemed upset. The reporting party called an Uber to pick her up and take her to CDA. The reporting party was able to recall the address and Deputies conducted a welfare check. It was learned she got into a dispute with her father, which happens frequently. No crime was committed and she was safe with her grandparents, where she lives. An FI was completed. 20-50837

• Deputies responded to the area of Twig Dr. and Woodland Dr. for a suspicious vehicle. The reporting party called in and advised she observed the vehicle pull over and the occupants got out of the vehicle and began to vomit. The Deputy was able to locate the vehicle and stopped it. He contacted the driver and sole occupant at this time who exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. He failed SFST's but provided breath samples of .000. It was suspected he was under the influence of a controlled substance and he was arrested for DUI Drugs. Inside his vehicle, a vape pen with a THC cartridge, other miscellaneous paraphernalia and a "tooter" with methamphetamine residue were located. The driver became uncooperative and ultimately had to be placed in a safety cell by jail staff upon their arrival. He was charged with DUI drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and driving without privileges. 20-50849

• Numerous Deputies responded to W. Mogul Loop for the reports of a domestic. Neighbors could hear yelling and thumping coming from an apartment. Contact was made with a male and his fiancé. Both admitted they had an argument, but noting physical occurred. An FI was completed. 20-50850
