Robert 'Bob/Bubba' Cunningham Myles III, 65

| November 25, 2020 1:00 AM

Robert "Bob/Bubba" Cunningham Myles III, passed away quietly at home in Rathdrum, Idaho, on Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, with his longtime partner Lynne Stilkey, his cat, Sniper and dog Sam at his side.

Bubba was larger than the life he was given. Anyone who met him would understand! Whether you knew Bob for one minute or a lifetime, he left a lasting impression. Bob never met a stranger. You were just someone he hadn’t started a conversation with yet.

In 1985, Bob established Myles Tree Stump Removals and his entrepreneurial spirit flourished. He was well-respected in the business community both in Fairfield County, Conn., where he started and Kootenai County, Idaho, where he made his home since 2004.

Bubba was never too busy to help anyone out in a time of need at any time of day or night. His five-minute estimate could take two hours due to the friendships he made with his customers along the way. He was a hard worker and dedicated friend.

Bob was born April 7, 1955, in Mount Kisco, N.Y.; grew up in Westport, Conn.; and attended boarding school at The Devereaux School in West Chester, Pa.

He was the son of the late Robert C. Myles Jr. of New York City and Hester Ann Luke of Westport, both deceased; and the stepson of Francine B. Myles of Groton Long Point, Conn., and New York City.

Besides his companion Lynne, Bob is survived by his son, Bobby and spouse Melanie (Reed) Myles; his son, Clinton W. Myles Sr.; grandchildren Clinton W. Myles Jr. and Evelyn J. Myles; sisters Sarah Myles, Nancy Richards and Robin Daley; his Goddaughter, Alyssa J. Rosa; Godson James Richards; and many cousins, nieces and nephews; former wife Debbie Myles Shawver; plus many lifelong friends and admirers.

There will not be a service held at this time. Bob’s family and friends will have a celebration of his life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local St. Vincent de Paul or Humane Society.
