Public Service Announcement NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF HAYDEN TRANSPORTATION PLAN AND POLICIES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Hayden Council will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. at Hayden City Hall Council Chambers, 8930 N. Government Way, Idaho, to consider the Transportation Plan Update and the Transportation Policies. The draft 2040 Transportation Plan and Transportation Policies are available in hard copy at City Hall or electronically at www.cityofhaydenid.us/Imagine_Hayden. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council will hold a public hearing at City Hall, 408 Spokane Street, on the 15th of December 2020 at 6:00 p.m., on a request to amend a section of the 2020 Comprehensive Plan. The Planning Division is seeking to modify the Low-Density Residential land use designation description by striking out the "single-family" element as shown below: Low-Density Residential Principal Uses & Character: This category encompasses all types of single-family residential uses up to eight dwelling units per acre and also supports land uses such as parks, schools, and public facilities. Densities may vary as appropriate to location, street and infrastructure capacities, planned development patterns and compatibility with existing development. The purpose for the request is to better align the land use designation with the Residential Mixed (RM) zoning districts, which is one of the implementing zoning districts. The Residential Mixed (RM) zoning requires a development agreement to be approved by City Council to provide some assurances that the intent to meet that goals and policies within the Comprehensive Plan are being met.
