Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies handled a civil issue on Bow Rd. This is an ongoing property dispute over an easement. This time the dispute was over someone who is not happy with the road maintenance and had blocked the easement in an attempt to keep the other out. This has gone back and forth for several weeks. Both parties were advised it was a civil issue, but do to some possible threats, a report was completed.

• Deputies responded to the Kon Tiki for a report of a suicidal subject. Health and Welfare had contacted Law Enforcement and advised a male was reported as depressed and making statements of self-harm. Deputies responded and spoke with the male who was not fully cooperative but did make references to self-harm. He was transported to KH for evaluation.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to the area of Ramsey Rd and Diagonal in regards to a vehicle stuck on the train tracks. An elderly male misread the detour signs and ended up stuck on the tracks. BNSF was immediately notified and train traffic was stopped. With the help of citizens, the male’s vehicle was removed from the tracks without incident. 20-49516

• A Deputy responded to N. Lakeview Dr in regards to a runaway juvenile report. Upon arrival it was learned that the R/P was reporting his 15 year old son as a runaway. While on scene, the son returned to the residence and claimed to be at a friend’s residence smoking marijuana. The R/P did not want to pursue charges and a report was completed. 20-49547

• Deputies responded to the area of N Orca Trail in regards to a DUI crash. A female called in to report her husband had just been involved in a crash and was also under the influence. Upon Deputies arrival it was learned that the male had driven his jeep from the residence and off the roadway. The male crashed the vehicle into some trees and then drove home. Medical evaluated the male for his abrasions and Deputies conducted a DUI investigation. The male was charged for DUI (.115 / .114) 20-49561.

• Deputies responded to N. Gracie Way in Post Falls for the report of a runaway juvenile. Upon arrival it was learned that a 14 year old male had left the location after getting into an argument with his grandmother. The juvenile was a “high functioning” autistic male and had left on his bicycle. Deputies were able to locate the male in the area of Spokane Street and Mullan. After speaking to the juvenile and deescalating him, he agreed to return home to his grandparents. Deputies provided him a curtesy transport back home.20-49555

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to N. Ramsey Rd in reference to a possible party with illegal drug activity. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted numerous individuals at the residence and smelled the strong odor of marijuana from within the residence. While contacting the party goers, two individuals attempted to flee on foot and were immediately detained. One of the males was arrested after attempting to run from deputies. He was ultimately charged with providing false info, obstruction, and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (25 grams). He also had an extraditable warrant from Montana. The second male was arrested for obstruction and possession of paraphernalia. While on scene all party goers were charged with frequenting via complaint request 20-49568

• A Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hwy 53 and Hauser Lake Rd. The Deputy believed the driver to be under the influence and he conducted a DUI investigation. The male was arrested for DUI and provided breath samples of 224 / .218. He was also arrested for being in possession of prescription medications without having the prescription. 20-49574
