Notable calls for the day!

11-11-2020

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy handled a disturbance involving two males. One of the males was upset at the other for not working on his car faster and about his work ethic. No crime reported at this time. 20-48770

• Deputies responded to Avondale Loop and Brighton Ct. for an abandoned Chevy Suburban. The owner was contacted and said it was recently sold to a male. Because the vehicle was dumped on someone’s property and the steering wheel appeared to be punched, thus making it easy to steal, it was towed by Schaffer’s. 20-48786

• A Deputy handled a DVA violation at N. Government Way between a male and female. He submitted charges on the male for third party contact order violation. 20-48773

• Animal Control responded to N. Memory Ln. for a report of animal abuse. A male owns a livestock boarding facility at the location. He was reporting someone had possibly abandoned animals at the property. However, while interviewing the male, it appeared the tenant may be taking advantage him. Deputies responded and the incident is under investigation.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Ramsey and Hayden. He could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed marijuana and paraphernalia in the vehicle. Both occupants were charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. 20-48880

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Pleasant view and Pole line. She could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver admitted to having a suspended driver's license as well as not having insurance. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and paraphernalia. The passenger was found to be in possession of prescription medications without a prescription and paraphernalia. Both were charged for the above charges. 20-48879

• Deputies responded to W Fairview Drive for a suicide threat. A female called a friend making statements of suicide. On scene the deputies spoke with her and determined she was not suicidal, however, was experiencing depression. She was transported to the Crisis Center, however, she was too intoxicated to enter. She was then transported to KH where she checked herself in. 20-48885

• A Deputy responded to a single vehicle crash at Honeysuckle and Davis. There were no injuries and they completed a crash report. 20-48846

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to S. Elk Drive for an unattended death. 20-48910

• A Deputy contacted a male at Finucane Park sleeping in his vehicle. The male claims to be homeless. He was warned yesterday for being in the park after hours and was again warned today. He left the park when requested. An FI was completed. 20-48911

• Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call at Ohio Match Rd. and Tree Farm Ln. where it was reported a vehicle had been parked there for several hours running. Upon arrival, contact was made with a male, who advised he works for a logging outfit in the area and was trying to get some sleep. The Deputy detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. The male submitted to SFST's and a breath test, however he was below the legal limit and he was released. 20-48917

• Deputies responded to E. Jadynn Ct. for a 911 hang-up. Contact was made with a male who was intoxicated. He stated he accidentally hit the emergency button on his cell phone and was joking about the domestic and said he did not realize he said that to a dispatcher. There was no domestic at the location and he was warned. 20-48918

• Deputies responded to N. 15th St. for a suicide attempt. A male called in and advised his wife had taken a bunch of pills intentionally trying to harm herself. She was transported to the hospital via ambulance and placed on a PC hold. 20-48922
