ELECTION: Bridging gap of dissent

| November 13, 2020 1:00 AM

We must not allow our lives to be governed by politically subjective talking points. It is imperative we not only direct ourselves to unprejudiced understanding but also attain a knowledge that transcends political party lines.

With the continuing chasm of political dissension only being amplified, compromise, reason and decency will stand to bridge the immense divide.

We have an obligation to our community by remaining cognizant of world affairs.

It is a requisite we seek continual understanding while inaugurating a willingness to listen and cease the campaign to be heard.

Becoming involved, active and coalescing within our own community is the true catalyst for reform that will facilitate substantive change and authentic progress.

Before we think to change the issues in the White House, might we not first look to the opportunity in remedying our own house?
