RECALL: On wrong track

| November 6, 2020 1:00 AM

I am writing in support of our City Council for reinstating the mask mandate in our city. I also strongly oppose a recall movement of the four members who stood by their beliefs and did not succumb to the protests.

If those organizing the recall movement are bold enough to make this move, then why are the moderators “remaining anonymous?” The Council members’ names, photographs and other personal information are open to the public, but these organizers of a political recall movement are hiding behind anonymity?

I respect the qualified scientists and medical personnel who document the severity of this virus and the results of data accumulated over the past eight months. Their faces and positions are out there publicly on a daily basis. Simply put, our health care workers continue to fight and we should back them.

I grew up in North Idaho and have lived and worked in Coeur d’Alene since 1973, owned property, paid taxes, and voted in Kootenai County ever since. How we got to this point is beyond me.
