Jennifer Jo Gonser, 66

Jennifer Jo Gonser, age 66, of Coeur d’Alene, passed away peacefully at the Schneidmiller Hospice House on May 14, 2020, after a brief illness.

Born to Joseph Glen and Joan C. Wark, Dec. 28, 1953. She was a lifelong resident of Dalton Gardens and Coeur d’Alene. Jennifer’s grandparents, Marie and Harry Payne, resided in LaGrande, Ore. She had fond memories of her time spent with them in Eastern Oregon. Jennifer is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and her brother, Tim Douglas Wark.

Jennifer loved horses and spoke of her horse often. She loved her dog, Carla, who provided her with good company and a sense of responsibility. Jennifer loved to laugh and had a wicked sense of humor. She was fiercely independent and was proud of her accomplishments.

Special thanks go to those who helped support Jennifer in independent living. Those include Region 1 Mental Health, New Hope Social Service, Advent Community Health Services, Dr. David Chambers, Dr. Rosseau, Dr. Nielson, Scott, Paul, Aaron, Tracie, Rachelle, The Disability Action Center NW and Schneidmiller Hospice House. Witnessing Jennifer’s life was a pleasure for Ann Walker, who was her buddy till the end (and beyond).
