PRAYER DAY: Disrespect on display

| May 13, 2020 1:00 AM

I was totally aghast to see the front page of The Press on May 8 depicting 400 protestants (in McEuen Park) breaking all of Governor Little’s guidelines. Social distancing, HA. The group was huddled together shoulder to shoulder, arm to arm, raising hands with total disregard for our current situation.

Additionally, I am highly frustrated that we as Catholics are maintaining the social distancing in respect of the governor’s mandates. Catholic priests are conducting themselves with full respect for the law because that respect is indicative of the respect for God.

I hope these people, in their flagrant disregard for public safety, are noted by the rest of the community and they seek out the true worship of God in the Catholic Church to respect all authority. No authority has power unless God gives it power.
