FoodFeed: Your guide to eating out and at home

| May 10, 2020 1:30 AM

COEUR d’ALENE — The Coeur d’Alene Press has launched a tasty new website.

The FoodFeed is, you guessed it, all about food. Everything and anything, about food.

“No meal should be simple. But it should be simple to find, and simple to make. The FoodFeed was born out of that very idea. With so many resources pointing you in every direction, shouldn’t there be one great website that pulls together all the things that you need to make your next meal great? We certainly think so. Whether you want to take it, or make it, the FoodFeed brings you your next meal from Neighbor to Table,” the website says.

FoodFeed is a restaurant directory, recipe site, and a place to offer reviews, too.

The idea, said Danny Moering, lead strategist with the Hagadone Media Group, is to build a resource to feed families and friends.

“From neighbor to table. It’s a simple motto that we think covers what the FoodFeed is all about. We want to make finding your next great meal easier and tastier than ever. Our community boasts some of the best restaurants and home cooks anywhere. It’s time to connect our local foodies in one place — the FoodFeed,” the website said.

Restaurants can add their information to the website for free. There are also advanced plans for $25 and premium plans for $45.

“We are excited to kick off FoodFeed with the first annual Taste Tour,” Moering said.

Community participants will spend four weeks enjoying the fare at participating local restaurants and eateries giving each a review and rating. Foodies will track experiences on their own profile on idfoodfeed.com.

At the conclusion of the four-week promotion, participants who review and rate restaurants through the FoodFeed will be eligible for the following prizes based upon:

• Most reviewed restaurants: Trager and The Rose Lake Freezer Meat Package from Tim’s Custom Meats

• Second most reviewed restaurants: $250 gift card to Culinary Stone

• Third most reviewed restaurants: $125 gift certificate to up to three participating restaurants of their choice.

“The Top 5 rated participating restaurants will receive six months of our Standard Accelerated Package for free,” Moering said.

There are three basic categories of FoodFeed:
