EDMONDSON: Best for our future

Thank you Rocky Watson for setting the record straight on Captain Kim Edmondson’s promotional history. When people like Kim are promoted for leadership positions over men, some hold the unfortunate belief that it is due to their gender.

But this is not an election about sex, it’s a race that will determine the future of law enforcement in Kootenai County. As a former municipal employee, I have had the privilege of enjoying a professional relationship with Kim for over 15 years. When you first meet her, you immediately know you are in the presence of a grounded, intelligent, and engaged individual.

In these uncertain times, it would be great to have a sheriff who supports the 2nd Amendment without feeling the need to give away a lethal weapon as a door prize.

Please vote for Kim Edmondson. She is the leader we need now.
