Curbside service resumes at Cd’A Library

| May 5, 2020 1:00 AM

COEUR d’ALENE — The book drop is open at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library and patrons are invited to again place holds and to pick them up at the front door.

The building remains closed to the public in compliance with Gov. Brad Little’s phased plan to reopen the state. The Lake City Public Library, housed in the high school on Ramsey Road, remains closed and cannot be used as a pick-up site for holds.

Library Director Bette Ammon said that the library will be partially staffed Monday through Friday and curbside service will be available 10-6 weekdays. Patrons can call the library with inquiries during those hours to speak to a staff member. Call 208-769-2315. Inquiries can also be emailed to info@cdalibrary.org.

Courier service between most Cooperative Information Network (CIN) libraries has also resumed.

Ammon said that books and other items being returned to the library will be quarantined for three days, according to CDC recommendations, before they are reshelved.
