A distracted driver changing the radio station missed a turkey but hit two mailboxes.
According to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies investigated a rollover crash on Ramsey Road south of Highway 54.
The driver “claimed to have looked down to change the radio and when he looked up there was a turkey in the roadway,” KCSO reported.
The driver swerved to avoid the turkey, then over-corrected and rolled the vehicle, which hit two mailboxes.
But it did flip back where it started, on its tires. The driver was OK.
