• Deputies responded to Hauser Lake area regarding a child abuse. Health and Welfare who was there for a safety plan based off an incident which had occurred on Monday. Eventually the child was sheltered with Health and Welfare.

• Deputies responded to a possible Family Dispute wherein a juvenile male (who is high functioning Autistic) called his father and reported that his mother had just smacked him. The whole thing stemmed from the boy’s shirt being returned to Costco. He felt that his mother did it out of spite, and when he got angry, she disciplined him. No crime articulated. 20-10796

• Deputies contacted a male in a vehicle near one of the turnouts on the way to Higgin’s Point who was reportedly getting high in his vehicle. Upon contact he wasn’t getting high, although he did have his pants unzipped or down and had been “vaping”. At the time of this log, there is no further information, however a Deputy will be completing an F.I. should the male possibly be engaging in unwanted activities/indecent exposure, etc. 20-10833

• Deputies investigated a family dispute in which a female was concerned about her or her baby contracting the Corona Virus because she had family members in Colorado that had the disease. This turned into an argument with her mom that would likely have turned physical, but her step-father stepped in between them. The female wanted to go to the crisis center to talk to someone about her concerns and it was arranged that a friend would take her there. 20-10890

• Deputies responded to an address on Atlas reference a 17 year old male that appeared to be overdosing. The juvenile had been caught vaping and was now screaming in pain every time he was touched. The juvenile appeared to have underlying previous medical issues and was transported by medical personnel. 20-10859

• Backcountry Deputies responded to assist a motorist and his dog stuck in the snow on FSR 209 at about MM13. After about two hours, they were able to reunite the motorist and dog with family members uninjured. 20-10871

• Deputies responded to PSB for a report of drugs found in a cell. Several inmates were charged with various felony charges and a variety of misdemeanors. 20-10877

• Deputies responded to the Alpine Country Store for a reported DUI and they arrested a male. (.094/.093) 20-10893

• Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Strawberry Fields where estranged wife came to check on her children at a home she shared (although she is currently living somewhere else) with her estranged husband, and was not happy to find the husband in bed with his girlfriend. The wife threw a wine glass against the wall, and according to male slapped him in the face. She was cited for domestic battery and left the residence for the evening. 20-10904

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle in the Stateline Village and contacted a male. Marijuana and paraphernalia were located in the vehicle and the male was cited and released. 20-10886

• Deputies responded to the area of N Santiago Cir regarding an assault with a knife call. A male was highly intoxicated and got upset with a group of friends in a vehicle. He lost his temper and began making threats and stabbed the hood of the vehicle several times, causing several holes in the hood, as well as the windshield. He was contacted at the address and arrested for aggravated assault and malicious injury. 20-10891

• Deputies responded to E. Little Bear for a report of a female again violating the no contact order she has with her neighbor. She was contacted and charged for the violation. 20-10905

• Deputies were dispatched to Wal-Mart-Honeysuckle for a male concealing items and ripping packaging apart while in the store. The male was contacted after walking out of the west doors. Ultimately, the male, who briefly suffered some memory loss, was issued a petit theft citation. 20-10956

• Deputies responded to N. Fantasy Loop reference a male getting head butted by female. After investigating, Deputies determined the male’s story was inaccurate, and he actually battered the female through a fence in the driveway. The male was cited for his offense. Ongoing issues at this property. 20-10952

• Back Country Deputies were summoned for an Agency Assist for Bonner County reference a Missing Special Needs 14 year old female from the Berry Patch Loop Area. After arriving in the Athol area to start searching for the female, Deputies were advised by Bonner County that the female had returned home and was fine. 20-10959

• Deputies and Detectives responded to an unattended death in Hayden. A male was found deceased in his apartment by his family. He had a history of medical conditions was also known to abuse opiates, marijuana. 20-10962

• Deputies responded to a fully engulfed shop fire on Highway 3 x Black Lake Road. The homeowner had done some controlled burning the day before, and it appeared that a hot spot popped up and spread to the shop. 20-10978

• Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at Higgens Point. There is an ongoing issue with someone posting on Facebook, Snap Chat or other social media about an organized car show in the parking lot, which includes burn out contests and fireworks. The participants are not just juveniles, many are adults thinking they are coming to some sort of sanctioned event, which seems to occur now a few times a month. A few drivers were stopped and educated on the issue, which may need more attention in the future. 20-10981

• A Patrol Sergeant responded to a suspicious person/vehicle at WalMart, with a female throwing items out of a Dodge Durango and attempting to break into another vehicle on scene. The Sergeant located the Durango southbound on 95 turning east onto Dalton, and the vehicle fled when he attempted a traffic stop. The pursuit briefly reached speeds of 80 mph on Government Way, then continued through Coeur d’Alene to the parking lot of the Altar Church, where the driver parked but did not comply with commands. A K-9 Deputy sent his K9 partner Deuce to make contact with the driver, who was taken into custody. The vehicle was stolen. The female was arrested for felony eluding and grand theft. Later the owner of the Durango reported that another vehicle on his property had the ignition punched, presumably by the female, who was additionally charged with burglary, attempted grand theft and malicious injury to property. 20-10980

• Multiple deputies responded to a battery that had just occurred on Heron Street in Hayden. A female said she had just been hit repeatedly in the head by her boyfriend’s friend’s girlfriend, because the victim did not want the group to go out to a party. While deputies were investigating the incident, the suspect boyfriend, refused to answer and lied repeatedly to deputies about basic information, such his address, his girlfriend’s name and contact information, and what had occurred this evening. He said, for instance, that he only knew his girlfriend for a week, but she was listed in his phone as “Wifey,” and the other people on scene said they had been in a relationship for six months. The boyfriend was given several opportunities to cooperate, but he continued to delay the investigation and was arrested for obstructing. Deputies were able to speak with the suspect by phone and responded to her residence, where she was cited for battery. 20-10987

• Deputies responded to W Rice Ave for a domestic. An elderly female has dementia and called in. She was having an episode and was upset with her husband and wanted LE to take him away. Ultimately, the female was able to be calmed down and went to bed. An FI completed, and information was provided to the husband for assistance. 20-10995

• Deputies responded to the Hayden Maverick for a welfare check of a male who appeared passed out in a vehicle. Contact was made with driver (17 YOM) and he was in fact sleeping with the vehicle running and it still in drive. Once he was woken up, he appeared very groggy. He admitted to consuming alcohol several hours prior. He was found to be in possession of a considerable number of vape products. He was cited for MIP and his mother came to pick him up. 20-11005

• Deputies handled a theft on E. Nunn Rd. $3,700.00 worth of tools were stolen from the location. 20-11019

• Deputies responded to E. Grizzly Meadows Ct for a weapon offense. RP reported hearing gun shots followed by a very loud explosion. 20-11038

• Deputies responded to W. Gray Eagle Rd for a family dispute. Reporting party stated a 12 year old was freaking out after being told he couldn’t have a cigarette and “weed”. 20-11044

• Deputies responded for a welfare check. RP stated her daughter was being held at the location against her will by her boyfriend. Upon deputies’ arrival and investigation, the R/P was very worked up about current Coronavirus situation and was concerned over “tanks” being deployed in Oregon (based on videos she has seen) by the military. 20-11028

• Deputies responded to two suspicious males running on Riverview near Greensferry in street clothes and the RP found it suspicious. We searched the area and found no-one.
