Kroc Center takes community support role

| March 19, 2020 3:57 PM

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene has transitioned from operating as a community center to an emergency support role for Kootenai County.

Beginning Friday, March 20, members will have access to a virtual workout program. Kroc instructors will lead online classes, allowing members to work out at home. Members can visit www.kroccda.org/groupex and follow the instructions to access the classes and find the class schedule.

Kroc Center employees are continuing to work as much as possible, both in The Center and throughout the community, and The Center remains committed to the health and safety of every member, guest and employee.

Employees have been trained to clean and sanitize, and The Kroc Center is being scrubbed from top to bottom. Several employees are volunteering for Panhandle Health District’s hotline to answer community questions.

The Kroc Center has also activated its own emergency services hotline at 208.763.0777 and staff are manning the phones to answer member and community questions.

Kroc Center management encourages members to maintain their Kroc memberships through this time, as members now serve as the biggest charitable contributors. The funds maintained through membership fees allow The Kroc Center to serve the community in its emergency management role, provide emergency services and supplies to community members, and assist in support of over 200 Kroc employees.

The next monthly membership autopay will run on March 23, 2020. Any changes to a membership must be made by Saturday, March 21, 2020 to take immediate effect. Please call 208.763.0777 or email info@kroccda.org for assistance.
