CDA Casino closing temporarily
With the health and safety of guests, team members, and tribal members as the top priority, beginning Friday at noon, Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel will be temporarily closed.
The closure is a precautionary measure to help minimize the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
“Over the last few weeks our team has done an incredible job implementing enhanced cleaning measures but as this situation continues to develop, we feel that we need to take a bigger step in preventing the potential spread of the virus,” said Laura Stensgar, CEO of Coeur d’Alene Casino. “We did not make this decision alone and have the full support of the Coeur d’Alene Tribal Council and tribal members.”
The property will be closed to the public for 14 days, reopening on April 3 at noon. During this closure, all bus services to the property will also be temporarily discontinued.
“We hope that by taking this proactive step now it will help limit the overall impact to our team members, guests and community,” said Stensgar. “We are resolved in continuing to support our employees through the temporary closure.”
All Coeur d’Alene Casino employees will continue to receive their wages and benefits.
The Conoco gas station store will be closed, but pumps will remain in operation 24 hours a day. At this time Circling Raven Golf Club is expected to keep its opening date, set for March 27, while following safety protocols.
The property announced earlier this month that large gatherings will be postponed through the end of April. This includes meetings, conferences and entertainment. Coeur d’Alene Casino is working to reschedule each event. Refunds will be automatically provided to those who have already purchased tickets. Once new dates are scheduled those guests will have the opportunity to purchase before tickets go on sale to the general public.
