Notable calls for the day!

Sorry for the delay, it has been a busy day!!

• Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male and female who were “sleeping” in the back of the vehicle. Deputies learned they had met on tinder and arrived at location to consume white claws and watch the sunrise. Both were warned they were on private party and they agreed to leave. 20-10250

• Deputies responded to the area of E. Fernan Lake Road for a vehicle crash entering Fernan Lake. Both male occupants were able to swim to shore and were both transported to KH via ambulance. Dive team responded and assisted in the recovery of several items and the vehicle. 20-10259

• A male RP called and reported his son was “Off the rails” again. Landline contact was attempted but not made with the male. He was last known to be in his house and the only threats being made at this time were by phone, to his father.

• Deputies responded to a family dispute where a “Father was attacking the 28 year old son.” Father was upset because of his son’s lack of doing anything useful with his time and alleged drug use. Deputies took the report and no charges were filed. 20-10283

• Timberlake Fire called in and requested KCSO do a welfare check. Deputies responded to the residence and spoke to the 88 year old female that may be suffering from Alzheimer’s/dementia. Information was provided to the family. 20-10287

• Deputies responded to a report of a fight call at an address in Hayden. A father called to advise he adult son, was threatening to beat him up. The father advised he leaned against their trailer’s window, causing it to break into son’s room. An argument ensued due to their levels of intoxication. The father was completely uncooperative during the contact and found to be less than credible. To solve the problem, the son was given a courtesy transport to a friend’s house in Post Falls for the evening.

• While getting chicken nuggets for dinner, a Deputy heard ISP advised a vehicle that fled a traffic stop westbound on I-90. After responding to the area of MP12, the Deputy located the vehicle. After activating his lights and catching up, the vehicle immediately pulled over. The driver had marijuana and paraphernalia in the vehicle and did not want to go to jail. ISP responded and arrested the driver.

• Deputies responded to a report of a shed moving through someone’s yard by itself, as well as strange metal noises. After learning this was due to a mental health issue, the Deputy observed an explosion in the area as well. It turned out the local transformer blew, putting many residents in the area without power.

• Deputies responded for an unattended death. An elderly female was found by her daughter in law. During investigation, there was nothing suspicious noted and there is no indication it was related to the COVID-19 virus. 20-10325

• CSO handled a residential burglary. A Vikings construction home being built and the kitchen sink and faucet were stolen from the residence. 20-10320

• Deputies contacted an R/P who reported aggravated assault via vehicle. This was in reference to a previous report in which male was charged with malicious injury to property. This investigation is still on going. 20-07779. 20-10333

• Deputies handled a missing person. A male left for coffee and did not return. The male eventually returned home. 20-10330

• Deputies responded to a trespassing/unwanted. A female R/P stated her neighbor and Sister continues to come to her property and entice her. The R/P also reported the sister attempted to take a child out of her arms. Deputies completed report. 20-10339

• Deputies responded to a citizen dispute. A male R/P threw out another males items out of his trailer while he was away at work. Deputies arrived and assisted in the two coming to a peaceful legal agreement. The R/P agreed to allow the other male back inside the residence. A short time later Deputies responded back for another dispute. When Deputies responded to the residence, they were able to mediate the disagreements and informed the roommates of the eviction process. 20-10347

• Deputies responded to the report of a custodial interference. Deputies learned the incident happened in Post Falls so the call was referred to them, however we conducted a welfare check on the children (they were code fine). 20-10362

• Deputies responded to the welfare check. During his investigation he learned that a female had attempted to harm herself prior to LE’s arrival. She told her boyfriend she wished to kill herself, and continually placed a “strap” around her neck. Deputies arrived and investigated the incident and as a result, the female was taken to KH for treatment.

• Deputies responded to the report of a domestic dispute which took place in the area of Govt. Way and Miles Ave. Deputies investigated the crime and learned that the female had visited her husband at his jobsite approximately one hour prior. While at the jobsite she observed her husband was with another women and he had been cheating on her. A verbal argument began which very quickly turned physical. As a result of the investigation the male was arrested for Felony DV and taken to the PSB. 20-10353

• Deputies responded to Nettleton Gulch in regards to a missing person’s report. According to the RP his son and his son’s girlfriend were hiking Canfield Mountain and had not returned home. The RP told dispatch that he last heard from his son at approximately 1815 hours and he was concerned they had not contacted him since. Deputies located the son’s vehicle at the trail head and attempted to have dispatch call their phones. It was discovered that the females’ phone was still in the vehicle. Due to time of night as well as below freezing temperatures, Back country deputies were notified and prepared to respond if needed. While contacting Back Country deputies, the Deputies on scene were able to make verbal contact with the male and female somewhere near the Nettleton Gulch parking lot. The male and female were attempting to make their way back to their vehicle but were lost due to low visibility. Deputies were able to find their way to the lost individuals and assisted them to their vehicle. 20-10389

• Deputies responded to a physical domestic dispute. The RP reported her husband, had been “beating” her for approximately 5 hours. Deputies attempted to contact the male, who was outside his residence and he immediately ran into the house to avoid the deputies. Deputies were finally able to contact both parties and it was found that the male had struck his wife during an altercation. The male was arrested for Felony Domestic Battery as well as obstruction. 20-10391

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle near Walmart in Stateline. It was learned that drivers driver’s license was suspended and he was required to have an interlock device (which he did not have). Para was located in plain sight. During a search of the vehicle, methamphetamine was located. The driver was charged for the violations. 20-10393
