by PRESS RELEASE Madison County Sheriff's Office
| March 17, 2020 1:40 PM

To better serve our community needs we are announcing a new set of procedures. We will be temporarily implementing these changes in order to follow the recommendations from the CDC and our local health care professionals. This is an effort to promote social distancing and protect everyone in our community by preventing the spread of the novel corona virus, COVID-19.

Patrol

Deputies will be limiting in person contact whenever possible. All non-emergency requests can be submitted by phone, (208)372-5001, or via our new online reporting system available on our website at http://madisonsheriff.com/report-a-crime/. We will continue, and always will, respond to emergencies. Our deputies will continue to patrol and be present in our community.

Detention

As has always been the case, individuals newly placed in custody at the Madison County Jail will undergo medical screening upon entering the facility. We will continue to provide video visiting to our inmates. A link to the video visiting system can be found on our website, http://madisonsheriff.com/inmate-telephone-services/. Programs and religious services will be conducted via video as well.
