Lakeland Joint School District to close

The Lakeland Joint School District announced today it will close schools because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Students will not be in regular session at any Lakeland school between now and April 6, after spring break.

An optional time will be offered for any families that wish to pick up school work or personal items in their buildings from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

In order to address graduation requirements, the district is ensuring distance/online learning is available for high school students. Chromebooks will be made available for checkout Wednesday for high school students who do not have computer access at home. Bus transportation will be available for high school students to come into the schools on for the 9 to 11 a.m. window. Bus times will be shared with families through the principals).
