Notable calls of the day!

• Deputies responded to a Welfare Check on a male staying at one of the local hotels. The male was not answering his cell phone or room phone, and had not shown up for work causing his mother to respond to the hotel in an attempt to reach him. The clerk would not provide a room number for mom, hence she called us. On scene Deputies were able to make contact with the male, he was code 4, and had decided to sleep in. 20-09801

• Deputies responded to a reported Physical Domestic. On scene, Deputies contacted the female half who had fled to the neighbor’s house due to her husband who had allegedly physically abused her. After investigating, the male was arrested for Attempted Strangulation, and Domestic Battery. 20-09839

• Deputies responded to a reported Citizen Dispute. A neighbor called in stating two adjacent neighbors were yelling at each other across/down the street. Both were warned for Disturbing the Peace. 20-09844

• Deputies answered up for a report of a Missing Person a (Vulnerable Adult) from a residence. Prior to his arrival the female was located by residents. 20-09860

• Deputies dealt with the ongoing dispute between a male and his wife and the wife’s new boyfriend. This has stemmed from the boyfriend dating the wife for the past few years, ever since the husband was in prison. Today there was an incident in Post Falls (handled by PFPD), then when they were back at their respective residences and the dispute continued when the boyfriend approached the husband asking him if he wanted to fight. The husband basically said he did, but neither actually fought before deputies were called to the scene. The boyfriend had a hammer and the husband had a knife, but neither weapon was used. The husband’s PO was notified and everyone was trespassed from each other’s residences. A report was completed. 20-09898

• Deputies discovered the aftermath of a hit and run crash on Honeysuckle x Ramsey where an unknown vehicle knocked down the speed limit sign and threw concrete all over the road. No suspect information. 20-09927

• Deputies stopped and arrested a driver for DUI (.167/.155). 20-09963

• Deputies received a call of a stranded motorist off the FSR 499 between Fernan Saddle and Blue Creek Rd. Deputies learned there was two females in separate vehicles stuck in the snow. One female was in her 60’s and the other in her late 80’s. Due to the time the call came in and the female’s ages, Backcountry Deputies were contacted and advised of the situation. Deputies responded to the Fernan Saddle. While en-route, dispatch was informed one of the females had been located by family and was OK. The Deputies located the other female a short time later and provided her a transport home. 20-09959
