FAITHFUL OBSERVATIONS:

We have some great local resources for men’s ministries in the churches and men’s groups in general. We have highlighted a couple of these in the past.

Jim Grassi who leads “Men’s Ministry Catalyst” is one who just published a new book. Jim is a best-selling author, radio host, and international speaker with 40 years experience as a men’s ministry advocate.

He has just released a new culturally strategic and provocative book titled “Act Like Men — Be Strong.” From his broad experience as a public administrator, pastor, chaplain for police and fire departments and a family advocate, he identifies specific threats impacting our culture and the U.S. Constitution. Dr. Grassi is also an adviser to the recently relaunched Promise Keepers Ministry.

In his new book Dr. Grassi boldly proclaims: “Men need encouragement and a pathway to rebuilding their hearts and perspective. It is not normally the custom in Christian writing or preaching to be political. Unfortunately, the politics and social landscape of our current culture have distorted and corrupted many of our religious institutions. Therefore, I find it necessary to take on the political establishment although some of my colleagues dodge this controversial topic because it might “offend someone” in their congregation or social network. It is weird to me that I often feel Fox News analyst Tucker Carlson has a better grip on the theology of masculinity than a few of my colleagues wearing a liturgical collar.”

Ken Harrison, president of the Board of Promise Keepers wrote the foreword of the book and stated in part, “Where are the men,” Dr. Grassi asks. That’s a good question and people are asking it more and more. As you read through these pages, you will resonate with what Jim has to say. You’ll have many moments of pounding your fist onto the table and saying, “That’s right!” But Grassi doesn’t leave us there. He gives us the solution. The solution is Jesus Christ of course, but our Lord commanded us to go further than just knowing Him — He told us to go make disciples. My good friend, Judge Vance Day, says that it takes men to make men. Where are the men? They are all around us — little boys trapped in big, hairy bodies looking for someone to teach them what it means to be truly and beautifully masculine.”

Let Jim encourage you and your audience with his latest research. Dr. Grassi’s examination about biblical manhood will help your audience to better understand this critical issue from God’s viewpoint. Please contact me right away to schedule an interview with Dr. Grassi. He is willing to travel and meet with you to discuss the critical issues discussed in his strategic book, for more information and contact info go to https://mensministrycatalyst.org.

Another great ministry in our area is “Man in the Mirror” headed up by Larry Phelps locally. They are also involved with many churches raising up men’s ministries. You can see their website https://maninthemirror.org or contact Larry at: larryphelps@maninthemirror.org
