Days after cancelling its men’s basketball tournament in Las Vegas and suspending all sports until forther notice, the Pac-12 Conference announced Saturday it will cancel conference and non-conference sport competitions and Pac-12 championships through the end of the academic year.

The Pac-12 is also suspending all organized team activities through March 29, but Washington State will extend that through April 2 according to a school statement released on Saturday. The school plans to revisit the topic as more information becomes available.

WSU spring sports that have been, or will be, effected by the Pac-12 cancellation include baseball, men’s and women’s golf, women’s tennis, men’s and women’s outdoor and indoor track and field.

The suspension of team activities also impacts the Cougars’ football team, which was scheduled to hold the first official practice under new coach Nick Rolovich on March 27 in Pullman. In addition to the opening day of spring camp, at a minimum, the Cougars also won’t hold practices on March 28, March 31 and April 2 as a result of the suspension.
