Community to celebrate Lakeside basketball title Three Vandals named to women’s All-Big Sky teams Two Cougs named to All-Pac-12 men’s teams

PLUMMER — A community celebration of the 2020 Lakeside High School boys basketball state title is planned tonight at 6 on Miller Court at Lakeside High School.

The high-scoring Knights finished off a 24-0 season on Saturday with a 74-57 win over Cascade in the 1A Division II state championship game.

Tonight’s event includes watching the end of the championship game and net cutting ceremony; speeches from the team’s senior players and coaches; and the unveiling of the state banner.

All are welcome to attend this event.

Idaho sophomore Gina Marxen was named to the Big Sky All-Conference first team, and freshman Beyonce Bea and senior Lizzy Klinker were both named to the third team.

Marxen was Freshman of the Year last season.

Sophomore Bella Cravens of Eastern Washington earned honorable mention.

Washington State sophomore CJ Elleby was named first team All-Pac-12, and senior Jervae Robison earned honorable mention All-Defensive Team honors in Pac-12 men’s basketball.
