URDs: Raw deal in county

If Kootenai County commissioners have not legally or fiscally obligated all Kootenai County residents for the Coeur d’Alene Health Corridor, why are they so concerned? This topic was never discussed at Planning Commission hearings in 2013, in the county’s effort to develop new land use regulations for all unincorporated properties.

Is it reasonable and justified to obligate Kootenai County residents in unincorporated areas to subsidize the urban renewal district’s projects in developed communities, however worthy those projects may be, without their consent?

No, it is not, and they know it…
