New construction off Spokane Street near the Prairie Falls Golf Course.

As these words are being typed, the sun is shining and the temperature approaches 60 degrees. It might be snowing by the time you read it in the paper, but for this moment in time, spring is HERE.

With spring comes the prospect of golf. In Post Falls, near the Prairie Falls Golf Course off Spokane Street, there’s a variety of living opportunities, including new construction.

A small pocket of new homes have popped in just north of the existing Greenside Vistas at Ashworth Lane and Spokane Street. There’s a pending listing from Dale Rainey of Rainey Design Group that’s finished on the corner, but other activity is happening here. We’ll check in again soon.

On the east side of Spokane Street sits the unique Grayling Estates, a collection of homes with backyards that sit along the golf course. Brookie Drive is the one-way, single lane road that wraps from its entrance on Spokane Street to its exit northeast on Prairie Avenue. The homes have views of the course, but still sit far enough back to limit the flow of errant golf balls.

Active listings in Grayling include a new construction three-bedroom, two-bath home with nearly 1,500 square feet listed at $305,000. The listing includes an option for two golf memberships, which has been a common add-on for homes for sale here in the past. Another home on the Prairie stretch of Grayling boasts five bedrooms and more than 2,600 square feet. The 2006-built home is listed at $359,000.

Head just north of Prairie in this area to explore the options in the ever-growing Crown Pointe development, which now includes apartments and single-family homes in many varieties.

Early last year Neighborhood of the Week featured the Hallmark Homes development of Waterside at Prairie Falls, which runs parallel to Idaho Street north of Poleline and featured new lots and homes that sit on a large water feature of the golf course. There are currently four active listings in the system that start around $316,000 and head into the upper $300,000s, depending on size and specs.

You can get more information on the development and floor plans by visiting Hallmarkhomescda.com/waterside_at_prairie_falls/ or contacting Jeremy Knoll with Northwest Realty Group at 208-691-9375.

Continue heading north on Idaho Street to access the North Place. For the Viking Homes side of things, you can go to VikingHomes.com and select North Place from the menu to view ready-to-own options, specs and amenities, or reach out to Becky Randles at 208-755-3275 for more information. The model home address here is 4441 N. Shelburne Loop, open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Monday.

Information on the Greenstone aspect of North Place can be found by calling 208-930-5654 or emailing NorthPlace@GreenstoneHomes.com. Go to GreenstoneHomes.com and click on the development. A model home is open noon to 4 p.m. daily at 3647 N. Shelburne Loop.
