Police seek sexual assault suspect

PRIEST RIVER — Bonner County police have asked the public to help identify and locate a sexual assault suspect.

The assault reportedly occurred on the evening of June 16 in the area of Peninsula Road and Peterson Road in Priest River, Idaho. An unknown white man knocked on the door of a residence and engaged the woman who lived there in conversation, according to police.

The man reportedly forced the woman back into the residence, where he battered and sexually assaulted her before fleeing in an unknown direction, using an unknown method of travel.

Prior to the assault, a small truck with oxidized red paint was reportedly observed in the area. The vehicle is described as “an older box type truck with a possible extra cab type frame without the extra cab door.”
