Bud and Michele Chesnut
50th Anniversary
Bud and Michele Chesnut, of Twin Lakes Village in Rathdrum, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 4, 2020.
Bud worked at Kootenai Health as the purchasing director before retiring, and Michele worked at North Idaho College.
Their children are Amy Raab of Liberty Lake, Wash., and Michael Chesnut of Spokane, and grandchildren Brayden (20), Makenzie (18), Kaleb (8) and Macie (5).
Bud and Michele celebrated their 50th anniversary in Indio, Calif., in April and will be celebrating at Cedar’s Restaurant this summer with their immediate family.
Walter and Linda Cartwright
60th Anniversary
Walter M. and Linda R. (Schulztaberger) Cartwright, of Coeur d’Alene, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married July 1, 1960.
Walt started his career in the U.S. Army as a Munitions Specialist, then worked as an auto mechanic for several local dealerships until he went out on his own as a backyard mechanic until he retired and became Linda’s “Leading Volunteer” at the Hospice of North Idaho Thrift Stores. Linda worked in hospitality as a waitress, earned an Associate of Arts degree in her late 30s and worked her way up in retail to department manager, and finished her career as a Hospice of North Idaho thrift store manager until she retired.
Walt and Linda have called Coeur d’Alene home for the past 60 years together. Walter was born and raised here. Linda was born in Caldwell and moved to the area in 1952 with her family.
Walt and Linda met on the steps of City Hall in the “good old drag street days” of Sherman Avenue.
Walt and Linda have five children: M. Wray Cartwright of in Greenacres, Wash., Barbara L. Cartwright and Vernon L. Cartwright, both of Coeur d’Alene, Verna L. (Cartwright) Neustal of Spokane and Richard E. Cartwright of Rathdrum. They have six grandchildren: Robert, Katrina, Kristina, Bryan, Lauren and Emily; and 12 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
Friends and family are invited to an open house celebration from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Walt and Linda’s home. “Just drop in and celebrate with us!”
Anya Rose Morris was born at 8:57 p.m. June 4, 2020, to Kayla and James Morris of Sandpoint. She weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20.25 inches long. Maternal grandparents are DiAnna Macklin, Leroy Macklin, Michael Possman and Kyoko Possman. Paternal grandparents are Sondra Morris and Garry Morris.
Montana State University has announced its undergraduate honor rolls for spring semester 2020.
There are two MSU honor roll lists, the President’s List and the Dean’s List. To be eligible for the lists, students must have earned in at least 12 college-level credits. This honor roll list was current as of June 11 and includes all registration corrections or grade changes processed to that date. The 2,439 students with a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester were named to the President’s List. An asterisk follows their names below. The Dean’s List includes the 4,067 students earning grade point averages of 3.5 or above for the semester.
