ANTIFA: Peaceful protesters?

I have to respectfully disagree on some points with Geri Hagler’s letter about the Antifa Organization. They are anything but an organization that are involved in “peaceful protests.” While they purport to be against fascism, they engage in protest tactics like digital activism, militancy involving property damage, physical violence and harassment. If you study the tactics of fascists during World War II, Antifa’s tactics come right out of their playbook.

Antifa is a far left group that holds anti-authoritarian and anti-capitalist views. Their left-wing ideology supports anarchism, communism and socialism, and it is anything but peaceful. Just take a look at their activity up and down the West Coast from Seattle to Portland to Los Angeles.

They are also some of the key agitators during the recent Black Lives Matter protests. They have been involved in violence against people and property, especially on our campuses, and anybody who doesn’t agree with them is subject to their wrath. It is right in front of your eyes on television. Why do you think they all wear masks? They want to hide their identity because they are breaking the law! I believe if you want to learn what a person or a group is really like, just pay attention to their behavior, not their rhetoric.

I believe in equality for everyone and will not tolerate racism. I strongly support our First and Second amendments.
