American Legion Post 154 to hold flag retirement

Manuel Schneidmiller, American Legion Post 154, will conduct its annual flag retirement ceremony at 10 a.m, Saturday, June 20 in the parking lot of the Rathdrum Lions Club.

The ceremony was scheduled for June 13 but was canceled due to weather.

There are about 100 flags to retire.

Anyone who has a worn and tattered flag that needs to be retired in a dignified and honorable manner can bring it to the Lions Club on Saturday morning prior to the ceremony.

They may also bring flags to the flag box in front of the Rathdrum City Hall, on Main Street.

You may purchase new flags from the American Legion, Post 154, in Rathdrum.
