Notable calls for the day!

June 10, 2020

• Day Shift handled the following notable calls: Deputies assisted health and welfare in the Worley area on a house check on a child. They ended up sheltering a child and they charged the mother with injury to child. 20-21722

• Deputies handled a threatening call in Harrison. The R/P called law enforcement to report that she had burned a flag in Spokane on Sunday and posted about it on Facebook. She received multiple threats on Facebook and wanted to file charges. 20-21729

• Deputies responded to a found person. RP stated there was an elderly female on scene who appeared to be lost and confused and didn’t know where she was at. Deputies identified the female via an identification card. It was learned she was in town visiting her father who lived in an assisted living home. 20-21732

• Deputies responded to N. Highway 41 for a health and welfare call. Deputies were unable to contact anyone. 20-21720

• Detectives stopped and arrested a male for his warrant for FTA drug charges and a female for delivery of controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver controlled substance. 20-21801

• Evening Shift handled the following notable calls: A Deputy arrested a male for Felony (3rd Offense) DUI (drugs) from a traffic stop. A Drug Recognition Expert determined the male to be under the influence of a CNS Depressant, and “Mexican Xanax” pills (counterfeit Xanax laced with heroin) were located in the vehicle. Additional charges will be pending lab results. 20-21837

• While dealing with a citizen dispute in the area of Govt. X Dalton, A Deputy observed a female in the street yelling. She appeared to be having a mental issue, but lost it after a male yelled a mean name at her from a vehicle. While contacting the vehicle’s occupants, The Deputy smelled marijuana in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, a Glock type pistol with a light/laser and 33 round magazine without a serial number and counterfeit Xanax (very similar to the pills located on the other Deputies stop) was located. The owner of the vehicle denied knowledge of the gun or drugs in the car, which made sense, as he was a felon for robbery. The vehicle owner was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a concealed weapon, and possession of a CS. The passenger, was cited for frequenting. 20-21839

• Night Shift handled the following notable calls: A Deputy contacted a thirteen year old male walking around the White House Grill in Post Falls. The juvenile claimed to have snuck out of his house to meet friends at the library, but could not find them. He was cited for a curfew violation and minor in possession of tobacco, and taken back home. 20-21878

Notable calls for the day!

June 11, 2020

• Day Shift handled the following notable calls: Deputies responded to W. Carnie Rd. and arrested a male for his juvenile warrant. 20-21904

• Deputies responded to the Lancaster Market for a domestic dispute between male and a female. The male fled the scene and most likely traveled back to Washington. The female was taken to the hospital for evaluations and then arrested for her felony PV warrant. She was also charged with false info as she gave a false name initially. 20-21968/20-21989

• Deputies responded to the Hayden Walmart for a wanted person and possible theft. Deputies arrested a male for a warrant and the theft was unfounded. 20-21971

• Evening Shift handled the following notable calls: Detectives arrested a male for his felony warrant. During the arrest, the male attempted to crawl over his second story balcony of the apartment to escape, but had second thoughts when he saw K9 Dyno and his handlers waiting for him to drop to the ground. 20-21997.

• A handler and his K9 Dyno assisted CDA PD on a traffic stop that resulted in the location of meth and trafficking amounts of heroin. 20-22013

• A handler and his K9 Dyno assisted ISP on a traffic stop for ISP which resulted in the arrest of a male and female for trafficking marijuana. 20-22040

• CdA PD advised through Central Dispatch that there were 20-40 cars appearing to be en route to Higgens Point, where we have had recent issues with drag racing and reckless driving. While Deputies were en route to the area, a Detective arrived and observed multiple vehicles drag racing through the parking lot, some going the wrong way through the parking lot at speeds reaching 80 mph. Additional callers reported reckless driving in the area. Deputies stopped out with two vehicles identified by the Detective as two of the main perpetrators and they were cited for reckless driving. Additional vehicle descriptions were relayed to CdA PD and those vehicles were intercepted driving back towards the city. Several additional folks gathered in the area were warned of the dangers of reckless driving and racing and advised that Higgens Point would be a point of emphasis moving forward due to these issues. 20-22025

• Night Shift handled the following notable calls: Deputies responded to Rusty’s for a physical domestic that was occurring in the parking lot. On scene deputies contacted multiple witnesses along with male and female involved. It was originally reported the male was attacking female, however, upon further investigation it was learned that the female actually struck the male in the face and he was only trying to keep her away from him. The female was charged for domestic battery. 20-22044

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Hayden and Huetter. The driver exhibited signs of intoxication and failed SFST’s. The driver also refused to provide a BrAC sample, and was arrested for DUI (second offense) refusal. 20-22050

• Deputies responded to W Cardinal Ave for a physical domestic. It was reported by the male that his wife had struck him in the face. After speaking with both parties and looking at evidence on scene, it was determined the male had actually shoved the female into a wall causing damage to the wall. He was charged for domestic battery. 20-22056
