Gonzaga to face Texas Tech

in Jerry Colangelo Classic

Gonzaga made it official on Wednesday, announcing the Zags will play Texas Tech in the third annual Jerry Colangelo Classic in Phoenix on Dec. 19, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced.

Games will be played at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Arizona State-BYU, San Francisco-Grand Canyon and Northern Arizona-San Diego will also play in the Classic.

The Gonzaga-Texas Tech game will be shown by CBS.

“We are looking forward to playing in a high-level nationally relevant game in a city where our program has some great memories,” Gonzaga coach Mark Few said. “Personally, it will be a very special experience honoring a great man, and a friend, in Jerry Colangelo.”

Ticket information, game times and additional television broadcast details and will be released at a later date.
